April 24

Wow I just love all of you and thank you for joining on this week's episode.  It's an exciting one!!

So this never happened before...

Monday we got a text from an unknown number.  Basically it said, "Hi my name is Tory.  I got your number from one of your members (Amy).  I was wondering if you could teach me more about the church."

Uhhhhhhhh.  okay!

*set up an appointment with her on Tuesday* *come to the appointment with the lovely Sister Chiping cuz we were on an exchange*

*Tory comes inside*

Tory: "Hey is it okay if my LDS father skypes in with us?"

Uhhhhhhhhh.  okay!

Greg Tory's 'father': "Hi Sisters!  My name is Greg and I live in Atlanta, Georgia.  Tory is my daughter in every way except by blood.  She means a lot to me.  A few weeks ago she and I began talking about the gospel of Jesus Christ and Tory loved it a lot.  She had a lot of spiritual experiences that touched her.  She now wants to be baptized.  She will be coming to Georgia on May 18th and wants to be baptized that weekend.  Can you prepare her for that date?"

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. okay!

So this never happened before!

My goodness she is so amazing let me tell ya.  Today we taught her the first half of the plan of salvation.  Wowza it was spectacular.  (not our teaching but her reception).  We shared Romans 8:16-17.  She asked us, "So what does it mean to you that you can inherit what God has?"  Uhhhhh.  That's a good question.  (look at her teaching with inspired questions). She asked a question toward the end of the lesson.  She said, "Why did Jesus have to die on the cross for us?" (wow um that is a very good question).  We tried explaining it to her, using the right scriptures, the right questions, and testimonies, but for some reason we couldn't explain it right and none of the right words were coming out.  And then she said, "Wait wait.  I get it."  (I'm like, really?  Cuz there's no way I would understand with what we just said)  She said, "I just got a super strong feeling that He was supposed to die on the cross.  And this is why..."  To which she proceeds to explain the Atonement.  I'm like, did you read Alma 42????  and then, Thank you so much Heavenly Father!!!!!!!!!!!  The Spirit is the teacher.  THE SPIRIT IS THE TEACHER!  It was such an incredible moment I wish I could describe it better.  You could just see the spirit teaching her.  Leading her one step at a time.  So amazing.

So yeah.  It's been a good week. :)

Nora came to stake conference!!!  Woot woot!  She is doing fantastically.  She read the tree of life in the Book of Mormon which was perfect for her because she is in a big mist of darkness right now.  She is doing great.  Pray for her to get an answer that this is true!!  Thanks.  I mean cheers :)

Had an exchange with Sister Murakane (from Hawaii) and Sister Chiping (from Malaysia).  We had sooooo much fun.  We played the whipped cream game.  You know the one where the driveway gets stained :)  and Sister Thomas screams with laughter?  haha yeah that one.

Also had an exchange with Sister Irobeni (from Solomon Islands) and Sister Nyaketcho (from Uganda).  Those are two angels right there.  I went with Sister Irobeni and has testimony was a straight up rocket.  (not sure what that analogy means but it was really good)

Stake Conference was so great.  Elder Adler spoke and rebuked the entire stake.  He went through every single group of people and said, you need to read the book of mormon today and every day!  The prophet has commanded us to and that is what we will do!  Yes he is German.  Absolutely loved it.  One of our friends Daryl was there with his girlfriend too.  It was a perfect speech for him because he needs to realize what he is missing out on.  He is the one who pulled a triple combination when we met him. I think he is just scared to commit.  It is a big change.  We are going to do our best to find his concern.

Super weird with Anderson.  His shop has been closed down for three days and we don't know why.  We are in contact with him but just through text because he seems really busy and doesn't answer the phone.  He still wants to learn more just has a lot going on.  Pleasssseeeeeee pray for him.

Sorry not a ton more to update on. We have just been super busy running place to place!  Got to play Ultimate Frisbee today though and it was SO FUN!

LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!
Sister Soulier :)

November 14

Good evening :) Crazy crazy week as always.  Not sure where to start and where to end. Unfortunately Mark's baptism had to be postponed.  He is still coming to church and loves learning and wants to get baptized.  A concern came up and his baptism needed to be postponed.  We also passed him to the elders to continue to get ready for his baptism.  I'll keep you posted.   Eline is doing so fantastically well.  She accepted the word of wisdom no problem and continues to prepare for baptism on December 11th!  She is very prepared. Our other prepared favorite investigator, Jane Susan.  Pretty sure I already told you all about her.  Hopefully.  Her sister and niece recently got baptized in Gorelston (by Norwich) and told Jane about how they love the church, so now Jane wants to learn.  She was a referral from the Stratford ward.  She is so prepared it is so great teaching her.  Appointments last precisely 45...

July and warming up

July 19 HELLO!!!! Good to hear from all of you!  I know I say this every time. But time is going so fast. Next week will be transfers. I do not want to lose my companion. We need to stay together. You can pray for that. Just kidding. We will se what next week brings! P day will be on Tuesday again so emails will be late. This week was a good week!! I'm trying to remember everything that happened. It's all such a blur. Oh Nish!!! Our lovely investigator from India. She wow. She is all over the place. Every day (no every hour) Sister Guimaraes and I go back and forth of whether she I'll make her date for July 30th or not. We just don't know what to think. She has refused to give up coffee at all in the past. This week we committed her to no coffee and she did it! In fact in our lesson on Saturday she said she could give up coffee forever!! (Except for this coffee dessert but we will work it out). What a drastic change this was. All because she is praying and reading ev...
