"Our promised blessings are beyond measure.  Though storm clouds may
gather, through the rains may poor down upon us, our knowledge of the
gospel and our love of our Heavenly Father and of our Saviour will
comfort and sustain us...as we walk uprightly...there will be nothing
in this world that can defeat us." - President Thomas S. Monson

Perfect description of our week.

Lots of rain, lots of storm clouds, lots of walking, and lots of blessings.

First, let me introduce you to my second daughter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You'll love this, on the first day Sister Uttamakul and I cleared tree branches with a couple of members, bishop, and stake president. Bishop told us about a family who has a son that is turning eight and getting baptised at the end of July. Apparently his dad is not baptised but has been to church a bunch. Well bishop challenged the dad to get baptised and actually said if the dad was baptised before the son, then bishop would ordain him to the Aaronic priesthood so that he could baptise his son. Pretty amazing. Bishop wants us involved and so we are stopping by and seeing the family this Tuesday! :) super good!

We have a ton of people to visit from bishop so we are getting started right away! It's great whitewashing cuz we have tons of time to stop by everyone. We just need bikes to be quicker. I've already requested them so we will see what the office says...

Really great ward though. Bishop George is super involved and wants things done instead of just talked about. The very first thing he did on Sunday over the pulpit is introduce the missionaries and tell people to have them over. And his list of people for us to visit is mostly part member families he is working with. So it is great and I wish I had longer here!!!!

(This is an email I sent to sister Cobabe and I am too lazy to rewrite it so I'm just forwarding it to you)...
Dereham is so crazy but I just have to explain the first day and how incredibly close I came to calling you.  The only reason I didn't is because we have no teaching pool and we need to be as obedient as possible in order to see miracles.

So we arrived in Norwich at 9:00 at night.  I was just a little sweaty (sorry if tmi but let's be real we got past that stage in our first week together).  Of course, I immediately called the Norwich zl's for a ride.  Which they gave us which was super kind.

ANyway we FINALLY made it back to our flat at 9:30 and walked in.  Sister, this flat was so bad.  So bad.  There was hair everywhere in the flat.  The walls were all marked up.  There was a small stationary bike in the kitchen that fit the whole length of the room so I don't know how the sisters survived.  There was a block of cheese in the fridge and an old box of chips.  (Thank goodness for the apples from our flat because that was the only thing we had to eat the next day for breakfast).  The washing machine was pulled halfway out into the kitchen and was full of clothes and water.  And the door won't open.  It still won't open.  There were things all over the desks and a million trinkets everywhere.  There were no sheets or covers for the duvet.  No towels in the kitchen or bathroom.  There was not even any toilet paper.  Luckily there are two bathrooms cuz one of the toilets is broken.  And to add to the mess, we had to literally kill 7 spiders when we arrived.  This is not a joke. This is real life.  See this face, this are real tears of ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!  Poor Sister Uttamakul having to walk into that so late at night being so tired.  So we ended up sleeping on our towels on the bed and eating an apple in the morning before running to district meeting.  Then we went and bought everything that could to possibly clean and give a good smell under this atmosphere.  We went hard.  AND we better get reimbursed!!  Well for some of it we will at least.

Literally how did these sisters survive.  And we have gone through the area book, there is a single person with the right information.  1 person!!!!!  OI WHAT THE?!  They wrote down a couple of people's names but didn't attach any contact information to it.  And they told us how to get to District meeting.  That's it.  That is it!  SISTERS WHAT WHY AGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So looks like we are starting fresh.

Okay I am done complaining.

Life's good though Sister Uttamakul and I get along super well.

(So yah that's what I sent to sister Cobabe)

November 14

Good evening :) Crazy crazy week as always.  Not sure where to start and where to end. Unfortunately Mark's baptism had to be postponed.  He is still coming to church and loves learning and wants to get baptized.  A concern came up and his baptism needed to be postponed.  We also passed him to the elders to continue to get ready for his baptism.  I'll keep you posted.   Eline is doing so fantastically well.  She accepted the word of wisdom no problem and continues to prepare for baptism on December 11th!  She is very prepared. Our other prepared favorite investigator, Jane Susan.  Pretty sure I already told you all about her.  Hopefully.  Her sister and niece recently got baptized in Gorelston (by Norwich) and told Jane about how they love the church, so now Jane wants to learn.  She was a referral from the Stratford ward.  She is so prepared it is so great teaching her.  Appointments last precisely 45...

July and warming up

July 19 HELLO!!!! Good to hear from all of you!  I know I say this every time. But time is going so fast. Next week will be transfers. I do not want to lose my companion. We need to stay together. You can pray for that. Just kidding. We will se what next week brings! P day will be on Tuesday again so emails will be late. This week was a good week!! I'm trying to remember everything that happened. It's all such a blur. Oh Nish!!! Our lovely investigator from India. She wow. She is all over the place. Every day (no every hour) Sister Guimaraes and I go back and forth of whether she I'll make her date for July 30th or not. We just don't know what to think. She has refused to give up coffee at all in the past. This week we committed her to no coffee and she did it! In fact in our lesson on Saturday she said she could give up coffee forever!! (Except for this coffee dessert but we will work it out). What a drastic change this was. All because she is praying and reading ev...
