This week has been great.  We've been putting in a lot of work.  I really love the area.  The ward is honestly pretty small and nobody has worked with us yet but I feel their support, just not too close.  We've been getting a lot of attention with the double american combo.  cuz, we've got 2 tall white, blonde haired, good looking americans and we do our best to not end up with just having young girls as our new investigators.  We had 5 come to church which is better than the 1 lang from the week before.  It's fun cuz we just come home dead tired and we both know we put in the good work.  We've got 1 crazy situation.  Dave.  He is recently married to this member girl (she's a rm but she came home early for some reason) and they've been going to different church's cuz they aren't sure what area they are under.  But we found out that he's in our area, we taught him and it was so weird cuz he tells us about different experiences in the church where he has come to known it was true (he had these experiences before he meet the girl) but, he hasn't been taught by missionaries before.  But, we gave him a baptism date for may 18 (time to get the lessons in) and in elders quorum when they were giving out ministering assignments and he asked (this is his first time going to this eq) if he could go out and minister.  They asked if he was a member then when he said no, they asked when his bap. date was.  Then, a bunch of members where like "give him my assignment" so it's really cool but it's weird.   Like our role for him, honestly, just feels like teaching him the lessons.
Some of the situations I see are so hard.  So different from american, just poor.  We visited this tatay that doesn't have a leg to see if he wants to be picked up for church (his wife is a member) an older couple.  When we went over, their house is a small wooden structure (we had an earthquake this past week btw) and the tatay is just laying there on the ground,  Only wearing this little thing to cover him down low.  But, his arms were so swollen, they don't know what it is.  The nanay (his wife) just says how it's hard but that they are really happy.  How it's not about the material things.  How God is giving these earthquakes to show that the material things dont matter.   sorry...I'm running out of time.
thanks, bayby

Pray for

Jema
She wants to go to church but, yesterday, Sunday, she got a sickness suddenly where she couldn't even walk, pain in the legs and body.  So pray that the way will be prepared to come to church

Nanay Feraren
She finally came to church but, apparently since we said "even if it's 1 hr" she left after the hour but she reads the bom like everyday and she's a school teacher.  She's just super catholic but she's making great progression

Alyana
So, she is a 15yrold girl that has a kid that is almost a year old.  The guy, of course, gone now.  But she wants to come to church but, the kid stays up all night and church is too early in the morning.  Plus, I'm guessing she's embarrassed/shy.  It's a hard situation

Good evening :) Crazy crazy week as always.  Not sure where to start and where to end. Unfortunately Mark's baptism had to be postponed.  He is still coming to church and loves learning and wants to get baptized.  A concern came up and his baptism needed to be postponed.  We also passed him to the elders to continue to get ready for his baptism.  I'll keep you posted.   Eline is doing so fantastically well.  She accepted the word of wisdom no problem and continues to prepare for baptism on December 11th!  She is very prepared. Our other prepared favorite investigator, Jane Susan.  Pretty sure I already told you all about her.  Hopefully.  Her sister and niece recently got baptized in Gorelston (by Norwich) and told Jane about how they love the church, so now Jane wants to learn.  She was a referral from the Stratford ward.  She is so prepared it is so great teaching her.  Appointments last precisely 45...

July and warming up

July 19 HELLO!!!! Good to hear from all of you!  I know I say this every time. But time is going so fast. Next week will be transfers. I do not want to lose my companion. We need to stay together. You can pray for that. Just kidding. We will se what next week brings! P day will be on Tuesday again so emails will be late. This week was a good week!! I'm trying to remember everything that happened. It's all such a blur. Oh Nish!!! Our lovely investigator from India. She wow. She is all over the place. Every day (no every hour) Sister Guimaraes and I go back and forth of whether she I'll make her date for July 30th or not. We just don't know what to think. She has refused to give up coffee at all in the past. This week we committed her to no coffee and she did it! In fact in our lesson on Saturday she said she could give up coffee forever!! (Except for this coffee dessert but we will work it out). What a drastic change this was. All because she is praying and reading ev...
