Past week was awesome, just super fast.  We are loving
the work.  Frustrating but rewarding too.  Like this one
person we are teaching.  Literally like 2 straight months
of her promising to come to church then...she never shows.
It's like confusing, she seems so real...ikd.  We'll keep trying.
I don't think I've told you about Greg before.  My companion
likes to email so...I guess I'm forced to use this time to write
to people.  But Greg.  He is this less active dude that's...well
that's pretty much gay.  And he loves us, (of course, very
pogi kami talaga)  But he always wants to feed us.  And his
food is always a lot and very delicious, usually with
vegetables which my companion enjoys.   And we eat on
top of his house at night and it's really nice.  (btw, we are
somewhat close to the airport cuz like ever 10 mins a plane
flys right over us super loudly)   He taught me how to make
this ice candy.  But, we are hesitant to go over cuz he
always kinda throws us off.  Like last time, Saturday? we
went over and ate.  Then he suddenly grabbed my foot and
took off my sock (I said no to that part)  and he gave my
foot and leg a massage.  Then he always tries to look up
our Instagram and online profiles.  He's super nice but he
always just text us, we don't even respond most of the time
cuz he'll just send us a text in the morning saying good
morning but say it in a gay filipino way.  My companion is
a huge star wars fan, huge nerd in that department.  Greg
opened up his you tube and I saw this trailer for star wars
so I clicked on it and we watched the first couple seconds
and it killed my companion.  haha so funny.
I'm kinda starting to workout again.  I honestly haven't for
a while (like back in my first area) but it's nice cuz my
companion is pretty good with it.  It's just..it's a thing that
tires me out even more throughout the day.  We ran to the
church this morning and played some basketball (we had
to screw the ring on the backboard) but soon enough, we
just went inside and sat in front of the ac, cuz the church is
one of the only places that has ac and it's so hot.
Since we have been doing some good work so my
companion does not wanna transfer cuz we'll have some
power people get baptized next transfer (if things go the way
they should).  But I'm excited to be staying here.  It's so
awesome here rn.
We eat about the same thing all the time.  We come home
super dead tired and make rice, and pour either canned
corn beef or canned tuna on hot rice.   And that's our dinner.
It's a good, delicious life.  Plus soft drinks everyday

Jake, you’ve gotta drop Greg. Goodbye.
And don’t you wish you had that basketball net I sent with you??
Just saw tanner brain and savannah. They are so excited to be getting married. Crazy—they seem so young.  Glad you’re on a mission!

what, how could you be embarrsed from a good looking son?  Look, Greg feds us food, it's either his hot vegetables and meats or canned food.   And no, actually the ring has a net, we just take it down so when we leave, kids don't jump  the fence and use it.   and are those 2 not married yet, I felt like I heard that news a while back.

Mom is right as usual. You need to drop Greg. Bad visual for people who may know him and with all of this 'we are so handsome' talk it may not be a good combo... Yes, drop Greg and let the local EQ take care of him. If you need a decent 'vegetable' dinner, go spend some money. We'll be happy to cover the $3. Always follow Mom. Immanuel! Dad

November 14

Good evening :) Crazy crazy week as always.  Not sure where to start and where to end. Unfortunately Mark's baptism had to be postponed.  He is still coming to church and loves learning and wants to get baptized.  A concern came up and his baptism needed to be postponed.  We also passed him to the elders to continue to get ready for his baptism.  I'll keep you posted.   Eline is doing so fantastically well.  She accepted the word of wisdom no problem and continues to prepare for baptism on December 11th!  She is very prepared. Our other prepared favorite investigator, Jane Susan.  Pretty sure I already told you all about her.  Hopefully.  Her sister and niece recently got baptized in Gorelston (by Norwich) and told Jane about how they love the church, so now Jane wants to learn.  She was a referral from the Stratford ward.  She is so prepared it is so great teaching her.  Appointments last precisely 45...

July and warming up

July 19 HELLO!!!! Good to hear from all of you!  I know I say this every time. But time is going so fast. Next week will be transfers. I do not want to lose my companion. We need to stay together. You can pray for that. Just kidding. We will se what next week brings! P day will be on Tuesday again so emails will be late. This week was a good week!! I'm trying to remember everything that happened. It's all such a blur. Oh Nish!!! Our lovely investigator from India. She wow. She is all over the place. Every day (no every hour) Sister Guimaraes and I go back and forth of whether she I'll make her date for July 30th or not. We just don't know what to think. She has refused to give up coffee at all in the past. This week we committed her to no coffee and she did it! In fact in our lesson on Saturday she said she could give up coffee forever!! (Except for this coffee dessert but we will work it out). What a drastic change this was. All because she is praying and reading ev...
