good week
Lots of appointments
even worst this next week we have so many activities

We've been teaching Tatay Victor and he's been great.
He used to drink to help him go to sleep but, we recently
gave him this centrum and said it will help him sleep.
He tried it and...it totally worked.  I mean, the drinking
was mainly in his head.  But the other day we visited him
and he wasn't feeling good about our last lesson, tithing.
He read the pamphlet and said how he was feeling guilty
because he doesn't have any income.  Then he was
offended because some member came up to him at
church and asked if he was an investigator.  uhh members
always do that.  When one of the counselors conducts
sacrament he always says, "welcome all investigators
here" over the pulpit.  Then Victor said thank you for
helping me get rid of coffee and alcohol but, he didn't
wana get baptized anymore.  Soooo we talked it out and
shared a scripture and he then said, "thanks for giving me
strength, I'm actually gonna go on a little road trip for a
couple days (pangasinan) but, when I get back, I'm gona
get baptized."  So, scary moments but, super awesome.
Tatay kept saying thank you for helping him get rid of his
drinking problems but I just kept saying....no, you did that,
we didn't do anything.
Sister Beth.  and her daughter, Gillian( 15yrold girl). Beth
was worried about her daughter liking girls more than guys
but one day but then Beth came up to us and said Gillian
has a crush on Elder Lawrence so...she likes guys now.
And I saw the phone screen of Gillian and...her background
was a picture of Elder Lawrence from facebook.  A lot of
funny experiences of us being too good looking.  I keep
being told I look like captain america and my companion
looks like Leonardo DiCaprio from the titanic (he has a
younger face then me,  when we walk around kids ask us
if we're brothers and I say yes, then I ask them who the
kuya is (the older brother) and they all first point to my
companion (he's taller) then, after 3 seconds, they, all at
the same time, move their pointed fingers to me).  But,
Beth had a scary week with her blood pressure.  We saw
her at this little health clinic but, she couldn't really go to
the hospital cuz of money.  Every once and a while I notice
how different the world is here.  Just remember, you're all
super super spoiled rn in Utah.  I always wanna help, I
mean, the money sacrifice from my point of view isn't that
bad but...We can't really do that.
Gema, she's been being taught for a while and she's got
this crazy debt she has to pay off.  Before, apparently, she
was kinda a mess just always asking for money but, she's
not in that attitude anymore.  She's had a hard time
coming to church.  The other week her husband got chicken
pox and so, she stayed home from church to take care of
him.  Then she felt bad cuz she promised us that week
that she would come.  And, here, if one person in the family
gets chicken pox, they all end up getting chicken pox.  So,
last Saturday her cute little daughter had it.  We gave her
a blessing and that helped them.  She said if she can leave
her kid with her mom, she'll come to church but....she
didn't come yesterday.  The rest of that lesson they feed
us a lot of food and the daughter and 2 other small, dirty
kids kept climbing on my lap and blowing in my face.  They
are so cute.  I love the kids here so much.  Filipino kids are
definitely the cutest babies and kids in the whole world.  I
love them so much.  They totally bring a different feeling.
It's been a bit hard to be missing avengers especially since
it is just everywhere.  They all just illegally pirate it.  The
computer next to us while we type is watching it, Bishop
(the floor above us) is having people over to watch it,
investigators offering to watch it together, playing in just
open laundry things as we walk.  hahah, it's funny but it'll
be nice to come home to.
We just had this celestial p-day thing and a lot of missionaries weren't there cuz they didn't get it but they served us good pizza.
I met some elders (I didn't know before) that told me
about my first area.  We played ping pong (my companion
has been claiming that he can't beat me so..I had to show
him what's up but after I beat him, some other random
other elder came up and beat me).     btw, Elder Thompson,
do you remember him from Olympus?  He will problly end
up in the pqcm but he said that his parents are planning to
come pick him up soooo I don't know how that will work out
but, you might wanna do some part of that with them.

I lost my cord for my camera....but, I'll figure it out

November 14

Good evening :) Crazy crazy week as always.  Not sure where to start and where to end. Unfortunately Mark's baptism had to be postponed.  He is still coming to church and loves learning and wants to get baptized.  A concern came up and his baptism needed to be postponed.  We also passed him to the elders to continue to get ready for his baptism.  I'll keep you posted.   Eline is doing so fantastically well.  She accepted the word of wisdom no problem and continues to prepare for baptism on December 11th!  She is very prepared. Our other prepared favorite investigator, Jane Susan.  Pretty sure I already told you all about her.  Hopefully.  Her sister and niece recently got baptized in Gorelston (by Norwich) and told Jane about how they love the church, so now Jane wants to learn.  She was a referral from the Stratford ward.  She is so prepared it is so great teaching her.  Appointments last precisely 45...

July and warming up

July 19 HELLO!!!! Good to hear from all of you!  I know I say this every time. But time is going so fast. Next week will be transfers. I do not want to lose my companion. We need to stay together. You can pray for that. Just kidding. We will se what next week brings! P day will be on Tuesday again so emails will be late. This week was a good week!! I'm trying to remember everything that happened. It's all such a blur. Oh Nish!!! Our lovely investigator from India. She wow. She is all over the place. Every day (no every hour) Sister Guimaraes and I go back and forth of whether she I'll make her date for July 30th or not. We just don't know what to think. She has refused to give up coffee at all in the past. This week we committed her to no coffee and she did it! In fact in our lesson on Saturday she said she could give up coffee forever!! (Except for this coffee dessert but we will work it out). What a drastic change this was. All because she is praying and reading ev...
