July 11
England is good! Today it was sunny and then it rained and then it was windy and then it was sunny. I have no idea what to wear. So not too much is changing on the weather side!!
Interviews are next week so transfers will be Tuesday. Don't fret if I don't email.
Nish!!! Our lovely investigator from India :). I really need to send a photo to you. She is doing FANTASTIC. Wow I mightve doubted a little that she would make her baptism date of July 30th but she is doing so well. She came to church this week for the send time and we overheard her telling a member that she hadn't planned on coming again, but she felt so peaceful at church and had to come again. She also said she would help us teach the lesson to the YSA next week :). Yes she is confirmed and loving church!!! Fantastic. Okay big week ahead because she needs to give up coffee this week!!! Pray for her please. Please a lot. We promised her that this Saturday she would be able to work all day even if she didn't have any coffee and read the Book of Mormon in the morning and pray to Heavenly Father in the morning. She comes from a background from praying to a lot of Gods before. Big change for her. She is going to be baptised soon!!!!! Wow so happy.
Hadi!!! He is Muslim and is from Indonesia. He is living with his wife and 4 kids. The oldest is 7. The picture of them is at the bottom of the screen. Hadi has met with us 3 times now and we were able to teach lesson 1 to him. It's crazy how our beliefs align and yet are different in the most drastic ways. At the end of the lesson we traded his Islam book for the Book of Mormon. Something I thought I'd never carry on my mission. But we know he has real intent be jade he said if the Book of Mormon is true, then he wouldn't be a Muslim anymore and would try to follow God this way. Amazing :). So he is reading it and will let us know. Except he goes to Indonesia for holiday soon. We won't see him for awhile :(.
So, I LOVE the Book of Mormon. Honestly love it. Part of my testimony of it was added this week. And I have a challenge for all of you :) :). I want you to all read the Book of Mormon every single day this week for at least 5 minutes. I know days are happier because of it. And you start to love it a lot. Will you read the Book of Mormon every day this week for 5 minutes? I promise you will see a difference in the week! Ps and please share what you liked best :). I loved Jacob 1. Everything is written to believe in Christ. He is the centre.
Something I sent to my friends.,.
LORD'S HAND!!!Yesterday my companion prayed that we would make it to church with our investigator. Our investigator was rather late. But Heavenly Father answered her prayer and the bus was late too! In fact, it was so late it didn't even come 😑. Okay then. But we caught the second bus with our investigator although we were late to sacrament....uhhh oops. BUT my companion also prayed that we would make it in time for the sacrament. We walked (or ran) into the chapel at a reasonable spread and they were passing out the bread. Wow I'm shocked. She has a mighty prayer of faith.ATTENTION WE NEED PRAYERSplease help if you can. We need to all pray for Nhistha. Or you can call her Nish. She is from India and is rocking it. She needs to give up coffee this week in order for her to be baptised in 2 weeks. PRAY FOR HER PLEASE. Pray that she won't have coffee this week and that she will be healthier and not be tired and have a clearer mind because of it. We promised her she would. Thank you so much!!WATTBA MOMENTSconversation Sister Guimaraes and I had the other day: Sister Guimaraes:"we should healed an English class." I looked at her: "ummm no I think that's a bad idea." *both erupt into laughter after she realises he mistake*Flows dress + windy England = "Woah that's a lot of white!" Well...that's one way to teach about the temple. We walked off the bus and a guy turned to us point blank and said, "Good morning, will you marry me?" ....
That's about it this week!!!
