3 exchanges, 15 bananas, 1 giant jar of nutella, 2 batches of pancakes, 1 eye twitching, "finding tag", spine twistingly awkward lessons, 1 smoke alarm at 7 am, first bbq of the year, and an obsession of wicked/high school musical. This week only could've happened in the Wild West of the England London Mission.
This is one for the journal. (Oops definitely should've written it in.) (that would've been good innit?)
Hello America and Brazil and Australia and England and everyone else!!
Guess who got sunburned??? My companion. The sweet, terrifyingly competitive, Sister Cobabe. Not too bad though. But the sun came out!! And our skin was like, "What? What is this?" And then it said "Ahhh no I'm melting!" (oops sorry my wicked side is coming out) That is what happens after 3 straight days of sun in England.
Finding was fun in the sun. When I was with Sister De Oliveira (from Sao Palo shoutout to Brazil!), we decided to ask the most random questions possible to stop people. Some questions included, "Why is the sky blue?" and "What's your name?" and "Have you seen the TV show Smurf?" (Apparently smurf is a thing--sister cobabe keeps trying to insist this). This goes to show you, you can stop anyone with any question! And it is not awkward at all. It is only awkward when you try to shake someone's hand and they either don't know what you are trying to do or don't want to. Then it just becomes a tangled mess and there is not much recovery from that. My goodness English people are not that great at shaking hands. Makes it a memorable moment that's for sure.
