July 18

K first off I am so so so so sorry I didn't email yesterday!!!! We had
interviews yesterday which changed our PDay from Monday to Tuesday.
And I did not realise that until it was too late to email and tell
you. I am so sorry! I thought interviews was two weeks away. So here's
my email now. Hopefully still somewhat acceptable.

So I don't know if Dereham has secretly been playing "Give Said the
Little Stream" or if this is a farm town tradition or what but my
goodness people have been giving things to us all week! We were
finding in the rain cuz ya know, pity finding always brings great
success. Just kidding it wasn't raining this hard. But we were talking
to this guy and he kept insisting that we take his umbrella. It was a
pretty high quality umbrella but we turned him down multiple times.
Finally he forced us to take it and ran away. I wanted to call after
him, 'no wait stop! Come back and get your umbrella! Oh do you want to
come and get it Sunday at 10 am at the church with the green gates
across from McDonald's? Okay perfect. See you then.' I turn to sister
Uttamakul, 'ha 1 more confirmed for church.' (Ford the record again I
didn't actually say that out loud don't worry we didn't actually count
him) (well at least we didn't count him a couple of days later)

Then a guy we met on the street came over and gave us a reeses bar. He
said "have this and just think of America". We were so confused.

Then someone gave Sister Uttamakul a Russian ninja doll. She treasures
it dearly.

And finally I got a molding

of a mini Church of England. Are we the
new favourites in Dereham? I think yes.

(Ps we are on the motorway riding a double decker bus to Norwich right
now. Motorway is a freeway to all you Americans out there. And we just
passed a guy riding a bike. He looked like an ant way down there)

We were finding an we saw an American flag far off in the distance.
Naturally we pursued. They were seeking American goodies. They had two
nilla wafers! I remember those! Thanks to GrammyJ's cupboard. A box of
those cost £7.50. That's equivalent to over $10. Oi that's expensive.
They also had mike and ikes and we couldn't resist we we got them. I
bit into one and nearly hit the wall from the amount of sugar in that
tiny thing. 4 hours after and 7 cavities later we had the last one. I
was shocked at how sweet it had tasted.

Bless you all for your prayers!!!! We have felt them in abundance this
week and have witnessed many miracles.

We have found a new champion this week!! George is the champion. No
really he is a champion. Like that's his last name. Champion. George
Champion. Haha you can already tell he is gonna be a legend! And that
I am going to use way too many puns.

Wednesday morning we were finding in town centre and passed a guy
pushing a bike. As we passed him I thought, oh I should stop him. Oh
well we are already too far past. Next one. Well Sister Uttamakul
wasn't gonna let that stop her and she suddenly disappeared.

Well I thickly turned around cuz I didn't know what had happened to my
companion. And turned to see her stopping the guy pushing the bike.
That was George Champion. Bless my dear companion for her faith over
fear.

Next Sunday George came to church! Crazy - he worked with the second
counselor of the bishopric so they are already friends! Wow talk
about a major blessing!! George was super friendly with everyone and
everyone was super friendly with him. When he stayed for gospel
principles 2 members came in with the ward mission leader and were
just so focused the entire time on him. I think they were extra
grateful someone had stayed for gospel principles.

At the beginning of church I overheard George talking to a member. He
said, "I am seriously thinking of coming again next week". I my head
I'm thinking, 'oh little do you know we are going to talk to you after
about baptism and then commit you to come to church forever!' Okay for
the record I didn't actually say that out loud. I told my district
leader about that and he got so worried. But I didn't actually say it
out loud!! And get this by the end of church I heard him talking to a
different member and he said - "I am definitely coming next week".
YES! Hook line and sinker :).

After church we took him to the baptism font. (Why are those things
always filled with spiders and flies). Poor George his immediate
response was no. We said no not now. We will clean out the insects. I
think George just laughed uncomfortably. So we said, How about August
20th? He said okay I will pray about it. But if it's right then yes.

☺️ like I said, hook, line, and sinker. (And there were a lot of other
things said too during that. With lots of ward members passing us
giving us a thumbs up)

So yah sister Uttamakul and I are super happy about that :).

Please pray the George's family will allow him to be baptised!!!! Oh
and background he is 25ish and English. Cheers.

Also, Sister Uttamakul is absolutely smashing her English! It is
brilliant!! Last week she did call ins (where we report our work to
the district leader) and talked on the phone for 30 minutes. I didn't
help her with a single word. She is doing so good!!! It's just the
British accent that she can't understand. Which is a little bit
difficult seeing as we are here in Britain. But that's alright.

And we also have another person who would extremely benefit from your
prayers. His name is Michael. He is English and struggles with a lot
of things. Particularly the Word of Wisdom.  But bless him he wants to
be baptised so bad. We read 3 Nephi 27:19-20 and he said, yes yes this
is what I want!! He just desperately wants to be cleaned. It is a
humbling thing to listen to. We are in contact with him but don't have
a return appointment right now so please pray that we can see him soon
and keep teaching him. He desires the cleansing power of the atonement
of Jesus Christ so much.

Oh and both Aaron's are doing alright. Not too much of an update.

On Sunday there was a carnival in town. One of the sisters was mad it
was on a Sunday because it was during church and her son had chosen to
go to that instead of church. So she prayed for rain and I kid you not
it started raining 30 minutes later. That night it was sunny again.
The woman was dancing with excitement, shouting, see God does answer
prayers!!! He does hear us!!! it was hilarious.

All in all sister Uttamakul and I laugh a lot, don't get lost because
of the tinyness of this town, and still see mighty miracles. Which
goes to show you, God is a God of miracles. And GOD IS GOOD!

Love you!!!

Sister Soulier :) with 8 months to go. She wishes.

Soulier Mom and Dad called

Oct 7, 2023 What a crazy morning.  Jason had his first big presentation with his new job, and on the second slide into it, sees a call come in with the voicemail transcribing, "Elder Gong would like to meet with you."  Of course he loses all concentration, someone gets through the call, then finds me and tells me what happened.  Before we can call back, we leave for the airport for a long awaited trip to Beritz, a town in France on the beach.  While there, we zoom with Elder Gong.  "Have you committed any felonies?  Is there anything to prevent you financially from a calling?"  Stuff like that.  Maybe 20 minutes long.  We hung up, amazed to have talked with an apostle.  Our world was definitely taking an unexpected turn.  I even got a call later that day saying my dream position at Skyline was open if I wanted the job.  We come home, and a week before Thanksgiving, get a call from Pres. Oaks office that he'd like to meet ...

Jacob Soulier   To: Jason Soulier , Jennifer Soulier , Annie Soulier , Sarah Soulier Sep 15 at 10:36 PM So, last friday after our morning pray our roommates still were not getting out of bed  but we continued on and plan and got out at 10 and just left them.   We came back and  ate at the house and they were still not having a good time so before we left we took their  temperatures and tried to find them the right medicine.   We texted our mission nurse and  got out to our appointments.  As we are out the mission nurse is calling us saying that  prbly, we shouldn't just leave 2 sick elders alone at the house.  But, we were like...well  we have appointments.  so we just continued on.  Our ward had a baptism that night at  6 and Elder Schmutz, since he is super nice and knows the family apparently, would be  coming.  So, we didn't wanna go to the baptism cuz we don...

MLC The definition of a mormon is one going to, coming to, and sitting in meetings... I think Elder Holland said that. Could be wrong. But it perfectly describes the past week! Meetings upon meetings. Hello family!!! Man I was thinking of you all a lot. Yesterday we went to bishop's house for dinner. They are American and have 4 blonde girls. Sarah and Lily's age. It almost felt like I was with all of you! And I know there are even more birthdays now, so happy birthday Mom!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy happy birthday from all of us to you, we wish you happy birthday.....(I think I'm gonna finally send my letter today so look for it in The next couple of weeks) MLC was great. Elder Phillips came and spoke. Everything he spoke about was focusing on the Savior and loving people one by one. He said programs and plans are great and all, but the best thing you can do is take a piece of paper write down a list of names and love one at a time. He said the...
