Lets see.. I'm seeing some of the same problems. 1 is that nobody is married and you need motivation
and mainly pera or money. 2 is that all the hard working fathers that exist. (which is rare) all have 1 job.
Fisherman. Which means they need to go out to sea and they don't come back for a while. They rarely
come back when they say they will and they typically say for 2 weeks. I got the chance to teach this 1
father and I was so happy. As typically, we had 10 kids and women that we were teaching but I was only l
looking at 1 set of eyes. It's tricky cuz you can't ask too many questions but he was really paying attention
and at the end he automatically took the responsibility to pick one of his daughters to pray. After that he
thanked us for added to their faith. Then I tried to asked when we could return and he said he didn't know
because he was going out to sea just later in that day ughh.
I've been seeing more miracles as I've tried to better sacrifice different things so that we can better
have the Spirit to be with us. But sometimes it seems like we can very quickly get 5 strong members
baptized yet when time gets closer all these random things happen. Like really some of the problems
that our projects have just come out of nowhere and just hit us on the side.
We had our first little problem with sharing the area. You just need to realize that as long as they are
being taught, it doesn't matter if it's us or the other companionship that's teaching. Their converts do
feel like, a bit, ours too. We don't find or teach or invite to be baptized but we help indirectly with their
progress and, idk, it all goes to helping our branch grow.
Pres. Tribucios wife and son had a birthday on sunday so we had different members that live a little
farther away attend chruch (family of the Tribucio). It's very hard for some of them to come ever week
cuz although it's just 10 or 15 pecos for 1 person tricycle ride, they've got a whole family to pay for and
they are just doing their best to provide for food. But after that Pres had a celebration after church and
they had a karaoke machine up running. (Sunday, yet they don't quite just understand, and filipinos can
get very offended over someone telling them that they are wrong (we've been given specific instruction
to never say they are wrong) but luckily the microphone wasn't working)
